Have a blessed Easter
I'm done for the day, folks. I hope you enjoyed reading all the subjects today, but as Marcie and I are Catholic, we begin the three day observance of this special holiday.
Today is Good Friday. We have already done Mass and The Stations of the Cross. We will finish out this night at home; likely with a rosary before we toddle off to bed. This a day of fasting for us, as well, so only one meal on the menu and that'll be dinner tonight. And as it is a high Holy Day, there will be no meat on the plates, save fish. (I honestly haven't had tuna fish in a while, so there's a possibility. I can make a mean tuna melt.)
Tomorrow is Vigil Saturday, and again there is a Mass.
Sunday is Easter, where we celebrate the rise of Jesus after being dead for three days, after his crucifixion. This weekend, for us, isn't about the peeps, the chocolate bunnies, and the jelly beans. It's a time of somber reflection for us.
If you aren't Catholic, that's OK. Just remember what this weekend means in the overall scheme of things. If you're not religious, we respect that too, and we wish you and yours a blessed and safe weekend.
There isn't likely to be any blogging over the weekend, and if there is, it'll surely be light. So from both of us, to all of you, have a Happy Easter.
