The definition of hubris

The picture above is of the mausoleum that Roland Burris has constructed. In the center, right below the seal are the words "Trail Blazer." On either side are lists of his accomplishments. This guys served at the attorney general to the state of Illinois from 1991-1995. During that time as Marcie noted earlier today he refused to listen to attorneys working on the case of one Rolando Cruz who had been convicted of a crime he didn't commit, and was sitting on death row until he was exonnerated. In fact, the Chicago Tribune gives an introspective look at Burris' career and there isn't a whole hell of a lot for Burris to be bragging about.

But we should actually be happy to see him going to the Senate. No, we're not nuts or insane. Think about it. At least Burris has more experience than Obama ever had. Does that mean he'll be a good senator? Not really, but he couldn't do any worse. Besides, this post was meant to make fun of the fact that Roland Burris definitialy has the hubris to be in the Senate.
