The Eric Holder deathwatch starts now

Given the abrupt departure of Jim Johnson today I am starting the Holder deathwatch today.

Why? Why would we go after him? Simple. Caroline Kennedy doesn't have any serious controversy in her past (if she has any at all). No one's going to go after her unless she starts "campaigning" for Obama, opens her mouth, and inserts her foot.

Eric Holder already has controversy in his past. The interview between Geraghty the Indispensable and Hugh Hewitt last night revealed quite a bit about Holder. Everyone knew about his involvement in the controversial Marc Rich pardon, but no one knew just how incompetent this guy was. And now he's one of the two key figures involved in vetting Obama's veep people.

Now that Johnson's out, the scope is being swung around to target Holder. Enough pressure on him, and Obama will sack him too.

I give him three weeks or less before he becomes the newest speed-bump under the Obama bus. (Bear in mind that I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time, and no, there is no money involved in this watch. I'm not giving away anything -- other than laughs -- when Obama defends him, then sacks him the following day. And actually, he as defending Johnson this morning, and Johnson was gone by the afternoon. So, there you go. Never assume anything about the Obama bus. It will claim "lives" -- or political skins, if you will -- worse than SUVs.
