Bill Ayers -- I was a "family friend" of Obama

The media did it's best job possible in burying this particular relationship, but the narrative made it out there via the New Media. In today's Chicago Tribune, Ayers debunks Obama's spin on their relationship:

In a new afterword to his memoir, 1960s radical William Ayers describes himself as a "family friend" of President-elect Barack Obama and writes that the campaign controversy over their relationship was an effort by Obama's political enemies to "deepen a dishonest narrative" about the candidate.

Ayers describes phone threats and hate e-mail he received during the campaign, and he bemoans Obama's guilt by association.

During the campaign, Ayers' friendship with Obama was a favorite subject of conservative bloggers and talk show hosts who insisted the two were closer than the candidate was admitting.

Ayers' new description of the relationship seems to contradict Obama's statements.

Obama had dismissed Ayers as "a guy who lives in my neighborhood" and "somebody who worked on education issues in Chicago that I know."

People wondered why we hyped this aspect of Obama's life, and we constantly explained that it went to his judgment. He kept using the argument that he was only eight-years-old when Ayers and his terrorist buddies were setting bombs around the country in a protest over the Vietnam War. He also claims he was unaware of Ayers' terrorist past, which didn't pass the smell test one iota.

If Obama couldn't identify Ayers for what he was, which was a terrorist, then how in the Hell could Obama understand and oppose terrorists that want to do this nation harm?

But now the truth comes out (naturally, after the election) that they were friends, and not just that, but they were close friends. But we knew this already. They worked together on the Woods Foundation, in the Annenberg Challenge, and you don't launch your political career from the home of an acquaintance. They were friends, and Ayers admits this.

This is just one more example of the malfeasance committed by the MSM in this election. We all know that if John McCain had had ties to a terrorist, the media would have shouted the news from the rooftops. But don't worry about Obama. He's The One, remember? He can do no wrong, remember? Don't worry about his relationships. They don't matter to the people clearly in the bag for a guy who embraces socialist ideals.

I saw an interview with Ayers yesterday and he said he has only has 5 or 6 conversations with Obama. I guess that could qualify as a family friend but maybe not. I mean really, who' story are we suppose to believe? And i agree, the liberal illuminati and their media have covered this more than just about any other story.

A family friend who the liberal illuminati kept quiet during the election. One that still believes he wasn't wrong in what he did. Some friends the elitist have.
