Ask and yes shall receive

This is pathetic. Yesterday, Barry took a trip to Ft. Myer's, Florida to pimp his Pork-A-Palooza and he was confronted by a couple people. The first was a woman named Henrietta Hughes. Ms. Hughes and her family are homeless, and living out of a pickup truck. She told him that she and her family needed a new car, and a place other than parks to cook, clean-up, and relieve themselves. The other person is a guy named Julio who's worked at McDonalds for four years, and he wanted benefits for "working there for so long." (Psst! Hey Julio, four years ain't nothing in terms of working for an employer.)

For Julio, all Barry could give him was an assurance that the Pork-A-Palooza will give him an extra few bucks in his wallet.

But Henrietta scored:

Henrietta Hughes was offered a home by Chene Thompson, wife of State Representative Nick Thompson, who heard the homeless woman’s pleas for help to President Obama before a local and national crowd.

The house is in LaBelle, the first home [Chene] Thompson bought after law school. She told Hughes, “Just give me the opportunity to help you.”

Hughes broke down in front of thousands when she told the president that she and her son have been homeless for more than a year. They are living in a pickup truck.

Obama hugged her after she asked her question and said his staff would help. A staffer later gave her a card to the head of the housing authority and she was told he would help her.

Why do I say this is pathetic. Am I a cold-hearted bastard? Some will say yes, but hear me out. This woman has just been given a home. Anyone here want to believe this family will treat the home with respect? That they'll maintain the upkeep on the house? Who's going to pay the property taxes? They're homeless, so do her and husband (if she's married; I don't know if she is) have a damn job?

Call me a cruel person, but this is what has happened ever since FDR enacted welfare programs. We have funded the Hell out of them, and more and more people are ending up on welfare rolls. In Arizona 320,000 people ended up on the welfare rolls from the last quarter of 2008. And does the government help these people to find a job, and get back on their feet? No, it doesn't. The government we have in DC right now wants people turning to Mother Government. They want people dependent on them.

An entitlement society has been created by the power brokers in DC, and they're loving it. Meanwhile, the rest of us poor working schmucks end up paying for these deadbeats. This is how Barry got elected, folks. He preyed on the fears and hopes of an ignorant electorate, and those same lemmings are begging for free things. This is pathetic, and sickening. I had foreseen this occurring. I just didn't think it would happen so quickly. Of course, had it not been for the traitorous trio in the Senate, it wouldn't have moved along so quickly.
