Confirmed: Osama Video Older Than the Dirt He Is Buried Under
As Charles Johnson notes, the "new" Osama video is not new, and again the MSM has been fooled right out of it's collective jockstrp again:
A new al-Qaida videotape posted Sunday on a militant Web site featured a short, undated clip of a weary-looking Osama bin Laden praising martyrdom.
The bin Laden clip, which lasted less than a minute, was part of a 40-minute video featuring purported al-Qaida fighters in Afghanistan paying tribute to fellow militants who have been killed in the country.
Bin Laden glorified those who die in the name of jihad, or holy war, saying even the Prophet Muhammad "had been wishing to be a martyr."
Of course the MSM will click their tongues at the pajama-clad amongst us, and demand how we know it is an old tape, and not a new one. For starters, that hat and jacket he is wearing seems a bit old, even by his standards, and have seen better days. But it is actually Allah @ Hot Air that blows it wide open. Jim Hoft @ Gateway Pundit located the original CBS footage and posted a side-by-side comparison of the images. Same background, same hat, same jacket, same treeline, etc.
It is telling when our enemies use recycled material to carry on the myth that their leader is still alive. At this point I think it is safe to say that he is pushing up daisies in Tora Bora. This, of course, will not stop the Left from demanding that the president end operations in Iraq to seek bin Laden's rotting corpse in Afghanistan. The dream is over. The man is dead. No other determination can be gleaned from this video other than that fact. It is time for the idiots on the other side of the aisle to drop this hopeless pretense.
The amusing side of this is the hapless MSM that reported this as if it were something vaguely important. Follow the links from Allah and you will see the translation from the tape. There is nothing new in it. Just more rantings from one man's failed dream. There is nothing alluded to in the tape to show it was done recently, as Ayman al-Zawahiri's tapes have done in recent months.
It is time for the jihadis to admit that "Sheik" Osama bin Laden has "bin" dead for quite some time. They are taking orders from Zawahiri now, as the letters discovered in the "Red Mosque" has shown:
According to senior intelligence officials, the troops who finally took control discovered letters from Osama Bin Laden’s deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri. They were written to Abdul Rashid Ghazi and Abdul Aziz, the brothers who ran the mosque and adjacent madrasah.
Ayman al-Zawahiri would not be making videos and calling the shots if Osama were still alive. It is not more than apparent the terrorist leader is no longer among the breathing.
