Putting it in context ...
More than one critic has e-mailed in and said we're taking Obama's lipstick comments out of context, and making hay out of nothing. They claim "he didn't attack Sarah Palin." Fine, I leave this to the readers. Let me put this in context:
"You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It still stinks."
Folks, what is Sarah Palin's nickname? Say it with me ... "Barracuda." A fish, and given her Reaganesque stances, it's obvious (as he doubled down this morning citing trickle-down economics) that he was directly targeting her in this comment.
Still think he wasn't talking about her? You sure? We're not. We think he just reinforced his attack, and doubled down in one sentence.
Classy, Barry. Real classy. You keep that up. Just bear in mind that November might be rougher than you think.
